Ageing Eyelids

Aging eyelids refer to the changes that occur in the skin, muscles, and fat pads around the eyes as a person gets older. These changes can affect the appearance and function of the eyelids, leading to various cosmetic concerns and sometimes even functional issues.

What do aging eyelids look like?

These changes in the eyelids are a natural part of the aging process and can vary in severity among individuals. While some people may experience minimal changes, others may develop more noticeable signs of aging around the eyes. Depending on the extent of these changes and the individual's aesthetic concerns or functional issues, various treatment options may be considered.

Wrinkles and fine lines: The delicate skin around the eyes is prone to developing wrinkles and fine lines with age, particularly due to repeated facial expressions, sun damage, and decreased collagen production.

Drooping or sagging eyelids (ptosis), Eyelid hooding, Dark circles, Crepey eyelid skin are all symptoms of Ageing eyelids.
